We visited Tent Rocks National Monument in September 2009.

We knew that there were some unique sandstone formations and a slot canyon to walk through.
What we didn't know was that the hike though the slot canyon was going to be one of our all time top 5 favorite hikes!

Above is a shot of Paul as we entered the slot canyon

The winding canyon trail and highly visible sandstone layering is awesome!

Here's Debbie at one of the rocky areas of the slot trail.

Paul checking out the layers of sandstone

The trail is darn narrow in places! Sometimes the width of a hiking boot.

These are some of the "Tents" in the area, just outside of the slot canyon trail.

The shot above was taken just after walking through the slot canyon. The massive Tent shapes are certainly the focal point of the area!

The shot above is a stitch of 3 images, showing the valley and long range views in the area. Click the image to see the full size photo.
