Debbie and Paul's trip to Cedar Breaks, Highway 14, and the Duck Creek Village area of southern Utah, June 2003.
We had a GREAT weekend! We started with a visit to Cedar Breaks National Monument on Saturday, followed by some beautiful scenery on Highway 14 on the way to Duck Creek Village on Sunday.
Let's start with the photos taken at Cedar Breaks National Monument....

If you look closely at the upper left of the photos above and below, you'll see some snow. Cedar Breaks is at 10,400' elevation, and it was about 65 degrees on the day that we were there.

The shot above is of Debbie while we were walking on one of the trails along the rim. You can see a couple of dead trees in this shot. Unfortunately, the Spruce Beetle has been rampant in the area and has killed over 60% of the spruce trees.
The photos on this page show a MUCH different appearance of the park than the one's I took on our trip to Cedar Breaks in November 2002, which you can view here. It's amazing how different the formations look with snow on them.
